Yes, we have labor minimums that fall into two different categories:
  • For maintenance work, we have a $500 labor minimum. Maintenance work includes: weeding, pruning, mulching, overseeding, etc…
  • For new customers requesting a consultation and installation of landscapes, we have a $1,500 labor minimum. Landscape work includes: installation of patio and walkways, plant material, drainage systems, hardscapes, outdoor lighting, etc.

Yes! We accept Visa, American Express, Discover, and Debit Card with a 2.75% service fee over $2,500.

We also accept checks or bank ACH transfers.

Plant Warranty: 

Shrubs and Small Trees – We provide a six-month limited warranty on all new plant material. Our warranty assures that we use standard practices in installing healthy plant stock in a professional manner. We will replace plants, one time, free of charge that die within six months of installation. We do not replace plant material that has died due to improper care, drought, disease, infestation, weather conditions, deer damage, animal damage, or any other cause outside of our control and therefore outside our warranty. It is important to understand that our warranty is not an insurance policy for which you have paid a premium which protects you from bad things happening. Furthermore, we do not give any warranty on seed, sod, transplants, annuals or groundcover.


Large Trees – For larger trees we only cover half the replacement cost. On deciduous trees larger than 2.5 inches in caliper and evergreens taller than 10 feet, we offer a six-month warranty where we will replace the plant one time, for 50% of the original labor and material. The same limitations (as described above) also apply to our warranty on large plants.
O’Grady’s Landscape reserves the right to determine the plants cause of failure.


Seed and Sod Warranty: We offer no warranty on seed or sod. Growing a thick and healthy lawn from seed or sod is not a single event, it is a process. The success or failure of a lawn is based largely on the care it receives and other factors which are out of our control. It is to be expected that a lawn’s development will be an up and down process. Maintenance issues affecting the survival and success of lawn development include: frequency of watering and proper fertilizing, weed control and mowing practices. Environmental issues affecting the survival and success of lawn development include: growth or re-growth of weeds, infestation of disease or pests and inclement weather, including storms which can blow or wash away recently completed work. All of the above mentioned issues are out of our control and for these reasons we do not guarantee seeded or sodded lawns to survive or thrive.

Unfortunately, we do not do residential snow removal.

Our service area includes: McLean, North Arlington, Vienna, City of Falls Church, Great Falls, Parts of Fairfax, Ashburn, Reston, Sterling and Leesburg area.


We are occasionally asked by a potential customer, “Why won’t you work at my house when I am only a few miles from your shop?” The answer to that is, we don’t work in our shop; our crews and their project managers spend their day working on job sites located in our service area. We keep this small service area so that we are able to give proper oversight to our jobs. We have been in business for 33 years and one of the lessons that we’ve learned is the importance of on site job management. Our service area is relatively small, however we do a high volume of work in that small area. Due to this, we are never far from one of our jobs. Our project managers are able to visit job sites frequently throughout the day and we are able to respond promptly to customers when they have questions, comments or concerns. In year’s past we had a much larger service area, however we found ourselves spread too thin. Having this defined service area is a core part of our business plan and we have found that it creates a high level of efficiency which translates into customer satisfaction.

If you have sought out O’Grady’s Landscape, only to find out that you live outside of our service area, we apologize for any frustration this might cause.

No, we do not. However, we work closely with companies that do. When one of these services is required on a project of ours, we have the resources necessary to get things done. For landscape installation: Our terms vary depending on the size of the project. Some projects we break up in halves, some in thirds, and some in quarters. When a project is broken into multiple payments, the payments are defined by clear performance markers. We do not require any payment until we start the job.

For landscape maintenance: You will be invoiced by email upon completion of the work.

For lawn maintenance: You receive an invoice by email on Tuesday for the work completed the week before. You will also be automatically charged at this time.

When you request a consultation, you will be contacted immediately. We will generally meet with you within a week and we will have a written proposal to you within a week of our initial consultation. Depending on the nature of your work, you can expect installation to begin in three to four weeks.
